Charlie has designed and fabricated family heirlooms for over 30 years. He utilizes the “Paper to Platinum” process starting with a sketch drawing incorporating the client’s description, sculpts a wax model of the design and finally, casts the piece in metal. Charlie’s expert use of the lost wax method produces astounding designs from your imagination. He involves the customer in each step of the process, which makes the piece truly their own.
Charlie’s design aesthetic can best be described as a balance of classic and contemporary. His passion for unique designs is influenced by the likes of Cartier, Fabergé and Kirtchner. Charlie’s fabrications push the boundaries of traditional design while concurrently referencing timeless standards. His skills and use of old European and new technologies produce beautiful and unique jewelry pieces.
Charlie has had a long career in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended the University of London where his Master Goldsmith career began. Upon returning to the USA, he continued his education at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California.
